| Sometimes we don't know which
way to turn. Our hurts, habits, and
hang-ups have led us down the wrong
road. If only Someone could help us find
our way back. We really would like the
chance to start all over gain.
Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth,
and the Life; no one comes to the Father
except by Me" John 14:6.
Celebrate Recovery is all about finding
your way back to the Father, your Creator,
through His Son, Jesus Christ. The 12
Steps of AA, plus the Bible, will lead you
home. Join us on the journey!
12 Steps +
Bible = True Recovery!
The following
"Principles" combine the 12 Steps
& Bible ...
Principle
1: Realize I'm not God; I admit that I
am powerless to control my tendency to do the
wrong thing and my life is unmanageable. Matthew
5:3, 12 Step #1
Principle
2: Earnestly believe that God exists,
that I matter to Him, and that He has the power
to help me recover. Matthew 5:4, 12
Step #2
Principle
3: Consciously choose to commit all of
my life and will to Christ's care and
control. Matthew 5:5, 12 Step #3
Principle
4: Openly examine and confess my
faults to God, to myself, and to another person
whom I trust. Matthew 5:8, 12 Step #4
and #5
Principle
5: Voluntarily submit to any and all
changes God wants to make in my life. Matthew
5:6, 12 Step #6 and #7
Principle
6: Evaluate all my relationships,
offer forgiveness to those who have hurt me and
make amends for harm I've done to others when
possible, without expecting any reward. Matthew
5:7-9, 12 Step #8 and #9
Principle
7: Reserve a daily time with God for
self-examination, bible reading, and prayer in
order to know God and His Will for my life and
gain the power to do it. Matthew 6:33,
12 Step #10 and #11
Principle
8: Yield myself to be used by God to
bring this Good News to others, both by example
and by my words. Matthew 5:10, Step #12
The
Serenity Prayer
God grant me the
SERENITY to accept the things that I cannot
change; COURAGE to change the things that I can;
and WISDOM to know the difference.
Living one day at
a time; enjoying one moment at a time; accepting
hardships as the pathway to peace; Taking, as He
did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would
have it;
Trusting that He
will make all things right if I surrender to His
Will; that I may be reasonably happy in this
life and supremely happy with Him forever in the
next.
Amen
